Ess-gymnasiet

Ess-gymnasiet is an upper secondary school. We are working to give our students a solid platform that gives them the possibility to continue their studies or get a work and give them a good start for life.

Ess-gymnasiet is an upper secondary school. Our goal is to give our students a solid educational platform to build upon. Creating possibilities to either continue studying or make a career.
Education in Ess-gymnasiet is taught in a secure, harmonious and constructive working environment.
Training is based on close cooperation between teachers, students, student counsellors, welfare officers, our school nurses and parents.
The pupils have very different needs and experiences but they have one thing in common, they had met difficulties in the ordinary school system. We want to help them succeed and of course get higher grades.
Our school enrolls 300 pupils, employs 65 teachers (remedial teachers) and teaching is carried out in 20 smaller more comfortable homelike classes.
We have so called "professional teams" consisting of two welfare officers, three career counsellors, one remedial teacher and two nurses all to help and support our students.
Our students are taught computer skills, have access to computers, and Internet. Six of our units use an interactive white board (Smart board) in education.

Studies vary between 1-3 years.
